About Tracx

Through our experience with developing custom automatic data collection systems, Texas Barcode Systems has built several base products from which we can rapidly implement complete systems. We have brought together our knowledge of Inventory Management philosophies with our System Development Methodology to create a series of software systems that are targeted for specific Inventory Management systems.

All Tracx systems are built on a Microsoft SQL Server database and have PC workstation applications developed with Microsoft .Net®.

Barcode printing is controlled with Loftware and RF applications are controlled with WaveLink Studio or RFgen. Because of this design philosophy, all Tracx systems can be easily modified to meet a customer's specific needs.

We have not tried to create a single application that can be configured to meet every possible requirement a customer might have. That philosophy will cause the customer to pay for the cost of functionality he will never use. Additionally, Tracx Systems can be integrated together. This allows systems like Tracx-WMS to easily work with Tracx-ARS if your requirement involves integrating a conveyor Sortation system with a WMS package.

Tracx Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Tracx-WMS is a Warehouse Management System running Microsoft SQL Server running on a Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000 server. Tracx-WMS handles Receiving, Shipping and Inventory Control functions such as Physical Inventories and Cycle Counting. Sales and Purchase Orders and be input directly into Tracx or Tracx can be set up to receive orders via EDI or an interface to an existing Host system.

Tracx-WMS is RF enabled and can support Symbol, PSC, Intermec and Hand-Held products portable data collection terminals. Label Printing is controlled through Loftware and can be done with stationary printers or via portable printers connected to the RF terminal. Because we use Loftware, modifying label formats is easy and installing new printers is simplified.

Tracx Third Party Logistics (3PL)

Tracx-3PL is our Tracx-WMS system that includes our 3rd Party Logistic module to accommodate 3PL data collection such as rates, handling costs and labor. Tracx-3PL allows the user to easily track it's inventory by Customer and Vendor. The 3PL's customers can use the Internet to view their inventory levels and check on Order Status.

Tracx Automated Routing and Sortation (ARS)

Tracx™ ARS allows users to configure an Automated Routing/Sortation system for their conveyors. This program enables the user to dynamically assign specific sortation lanes. Fixed mounted scanners are used to pass information into Tracx™ ARS, and data lookups are used to determine the proper lane assignment. Tracx™ ARS also includes configuration applications and a suite of statistics to evaluate system performance.

Tracx-ARS can run independently or it can be integrated to another system such as Tracx-WMS or Tracx-3PL.

Tracx Print and Apply

Tracx Print and Apply is an automated label printing system that controls a stand-alone print and apply machine with fixed laser scanners and a conveyor system. Tracx Print and Apply can interface to a host computer system, fixed laser scanners, conveyor PLC's and a print and apply machine. Tracx Print and Apply communicates with the host via the Tracx Host Interface software system. The Print and Apply machine is controlled via Loftware and the PLC via ActiveX control programming. Tracx Print and Apply allows the customer to easily modify existing label formats with the Loftware printing package. Tracx Print and Apply can easily be integrated into Tracx WMS.

Tracx Host Interface

The Tracx Host Interface application is used to share data between a Tracx system and a host computer system. The Host Interface application is used in conjunction with any Tracx system that requires data from an outside data source. Host Interface is typically configured to either move data through an IP socket interface or using FTP.
